Planned for early spring 2025

Ferocia's Ad Fama Et Gloriam

Glory's registered name is Latin for "to fame and glory!" She is a tall and lean standard type girl with good bone and a beautiful feminine head. At nearly 3 years she is 25" tall and 79-81#. She has a nice scissors bite with large dentition, plenty of muzzle and length of leg.

She has tons of prey and food drive, solid nerve, very handler focused, and intelligent. She learns fairly quickly and has amazing retention and ability to generalize. Glory is a great combination of hardness and biddability with no  handler aggression. Glory is not dog aggressive, but can be dog reactive in public. She is socially neutral with strange people in public and has strong territorial behavior at home.

Glory was xrayed on Oct 17th 2023 and her PennHip results are .23 .45 (PH report in the image gallery below) Her OFA Prelims are Hips Good and Elbows Normal.

Glory is DNA CLEAR of NCL, ICH, HUU, CMR1, and NM

Supreme Gr Ch
Gunslinger's Roman Empire
2 IGP, WTE, OBT

Bacchus is owned and produced by Maggie Shook at Gunslinger Kennels in North Carolina. Gunslinger Kennels has an incredibly consistent program with numerous NKC National Champion winners as well as IGP titles. Very few programs can compare in number of Champions and IGP titled dogs produced. It is very exciting to have the opportunity to use a dog from their program.

Bacchus was 2023 NKC Top Ten Winner and National Champion, he is 95 pounds with a lot of natural muscle and tight skin. He has excellent pigment and is a very typey standard hybrid dog.

He has very high food drive and prey drive, and is obsessed with balls. He is clear headed with good nerve, and thrives in all 3 phases of IGP. Maggie says he may be her best Obedience dog so far. He is very biddable, learns quickly, and has zero handler aggression. He is not dog aggressive, and is social with humans.

Bacchus is OFA Hips Excellent, Elbows Normal, and Basic Cardiac Normal, his OFA page can be seen here: https://ofa.org/advanced-search/?appnum=2374555

He is DNA CLEAR of NCL, ICH, HUU, CMR1, and NM

This litter is expected to produce very balanced dogs with tremendous potential for working. Solid nerve, high prey and food drives, and a lot of will to please their owners. Both dogs are intelligent, trainable, and very biddable with strong work ethic and the intent with this litter is to get more dogs of the same. Bacchus should hopefully bring more balanced drive in the work as well as adding more ball drive.

For size, it is possible to get large to extra large dogs from this combination. Females are still expected to be within the 65-85# range, males could be within the normal size range of 85-100# or could be over 100#. Glory's dam, Vivid, produced a high percentage of very large males so Glory has full and half siblings that are 115-130#. This is NOT something we specifically breed for, and is not an overall goal. This litter may not produce dogs of that size and if you are specifically seeking that out there are no guarantees and I do not place puppies based on size.

While neither Glory or Bacchus is dog aggressive that does not mean it is not a possibility, and normal bulldog temperament of not being friendly with strange dogs and requiring training still applies. Socially with people I expect neutral to outgoing dogs that still retain typical guardian traits and territorial behavior.

Dogs produced are expected to excel in working venues and also very suitable for the show ring. Puppies suitable as active pets with homes that have American Bulldog or other large guardian or working breed experience are also expected.
